97loudcut Posted March 25, 2006 Report Posted March 25, 2006 I searched and I couldn't find. I know I have a 5 lug patter but what is the offset basically I am getting rims and I need to know all the stuff about my wheel and tire specs Quote
ToroToro Posted March 25, 2006 Report Posted March 25, 2006 5X115mm bolt pattern, but 5X114.3 ( 5X4.5" ) will fit.... Stock offset on the 5 spokes is +35mm IIRC. Should just about cover ya. Quote
trainman Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Yes !16 X 7 American's +42mm offset Chris Quote
ToroToro Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Dont be so sure about that. First gen brakes are different than 1.5s. The front brakes are especially a bitch to clear. I dunno if a +42 will fit without a spacer or not. Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Mine are 42mm off set, they just barely clear the caliper bracket up front. Ive had no problems with em. But anything more than a 42mm, youll need a spacer. Quote
Brian P Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 what's the factory rim offset for gen-2 W-car wheels? Like the 5-spokes? Quote
badassoldspower Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Mine are +38 Dont you love how its lowered and its got 18's? Quote

GnatGoSplat Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 will a +42 offset fit? There's no rule for offset and wheel fitment. Sometimes they fit, sometimes they don't. The problem is they can hit the caliper. Whether they'll clear the caliper depends on the design of the wheel. Many wheels +42mm offset will fit. The factory pie-cut wheels on my 89 were +44mm and they fit fine. However, the +42mm offset wheels I have on my car now would not come close to fitting. Even with a 5mm spacer to make them +37mm wouldn't cut it. I had to upgrade to 96 front brakes to space the calipers out more, AND add 5mm spacers, AND shave about 7mm off the caliper brackets. All 3 things were required to get them to fit! Same story with the Alessio version. On the other hand, I've had +42mm wheels that wouldn't fit, but ONLY required shaving 3mm off the caliper bracket. Basically, no fitment is guaranteed unless someone has actually tried them and reported that particular brand/model as fitting. Quote
JoeyM Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 Does anyone know what bolt patter I would need to look for on a 1992 Grand Prix SE Coupe? i know nothing about rims. The more info, the better. Thanks. Quote
