92SL
after the car has been sitting for a bit, when I go to start it there's a strong fuel odour. Not too sure but I's sure it's from the engine area.

rudefyet
could be a loose fuel fitting, improperly seated injectors or bad injector o-rings
gp90se
Ive got a slight fuel smell commin for my regal, pretty sure its the EVAC line has a hole in it. Smell under the hood with the car running, look for any obvious fuel leaks. look under the tank for a leak or around the fillter neck. jeremy
could possibly be a clogged fuel filter depending on if the car has any other symtoms (sp?)
92SL
turned out to be the egr leaking strong exhaust odours. I replaced it with a used one(egr) from a 96 grand am 3.1 thinking newer is better, right? wrong. After replacing it the ses light started coming on but only after the car had been running for a while. So I've once again replaced it with another used from a Lumina & hoping for the best. Sorry about the wrong info & calling it a fuel odour, I guess I should of taken my finger out my nose p.s: mounted in front of the tranny sits a "pod" of some sort with a rigid line going into it & approx 3-4" in diameter, what is it?
