Pyle Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 My dad has a 98 Lumi 3.1. He wants to find a scanner somewhere, but doesnt know where to get one, what kind, how much they are etc... Since he is in no way computer savy, I told him I would tap into the vast amount of knowledge you guys have. So what does he need? He also wants to know if the codes clear themselves once the probs are fixed, or if he has to have them cleared somehow. Quote
ShockTherapy Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 http://www.actron.com - $200 or advance has cheaper ghetto actrons for like, 80, or they'll just scan the damn thing. Quote
digitaloutsider Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 They have basic ones at Wal-Mart for $60. I have one in my car at all times. There's absoulutely NO POINT in paying $200 for something that's essentually a DTC eliminator. Quote
