TheEddie Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 Hey guys, I just had the LR strut and mount replaced on my Monte Carlo and I'm putting the RR strut and mount on this week. After I had the LR strut and mount on there the car seemed to "crab-walk" a bit, when looking at the car it seems like the front of the LR tire points in towards the car just the slightest bit, is this normal? If the opposite side does the same thing I'll probably leave it because I would think/hope it would correct the alignment. If replacing the other strut doesnt help would a 4 wheel alignment do the trick? Also, what would a 4 wheel alignment cost me on average? Thanks ahead of time. Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 It's normal for alignment to be off when replacing struts, especially rear ones. I've heard Sears charges around $60 for alignment, not sure if that's 2 or 4-wheel. Quote
DaveFromColorado Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 the shop I worked at a 4-wheel alignment was aboug $80.00 and it was $60.00 for a 2-wheel. a 4-wheel alignment should be easily do-able, assuming it's not too rusted under there. --Dave. Quote
