oil sensor (swap) help

Ok, so the first problem im hitting, although a minor one, is this:

Go to mount the coilpacks onto the 96 engine, but theres a sensor in the way. There is what appears to be the same sensor on the 94, but in a totally different place. I can't mount the coilpacks on the engine with this in the way. Here are the pics:

what do you do? Not put the coil packs in that location. (why would you anyway?) If you really want to put the coils in that location, find another oil galley to screw the sensor into. The one just to the right of the filter may be one. Be careful, though. There are also coolant galleys. If you put coolant in the engine, you will be able to remove the bolts that fill the holes and if coolant comes out, guess what? I would bet that the best spot to put it is to the left of the oil filter location, if it fits (comes out at an agle there).

 

For a while after installing my engine I had a "coolant pressure sensor" :lol:

well, reason for putting it down there is because i can use my same wires, i can basically leave everything the same without any modification, or so I thought. humph...

remove your air box and bolt that bitch there. You'll definately be happy.

 

 

wait... what? explain, im confused

 

although I think I may just move them, although I only have the rest of this week to get this all done :-(
