rshissler Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 My buddy that helps me with some of my audio set ups like tuning the amp and some box building stuff. He went and got 2 12" PG walmart brand subs, built himself and box around the size of mine ported, and a old skool 500W RF amp. OMG does his jeep pound like a mofo, it just makes ur chest and head hurt standing near it when its half the way up. I thought those walmart brand subs sucked ass but from what i can tell they are not. I jsut cant wait to rebuild my system I guess not all of walmarts subs are crap after all. Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 I would never buy any sub/speaker from walmart. Quote

Vegeta Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 A good box can make a bad sub sound good. Works the other way around too. Quote
rshissler Posted March 15, 2006 Author Report Posted March 15, 2006 i couldn't really tell you about the sq. basicly he turns it up and u go deaf i just cant believe how fing loud it is Quote
J Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 loud doesn't mean quality. What you should do is buy quality for quality bass the first time and you won't ahve to re-do your system every couple of years like i have been. Loud and quality cost, but worth it in the end. I had the loudest stereo system in Highschool and it was two home made boxes from MDF, a shitty amp we got for $25 and some old school house speakers and it was loud as shit, but sounded horrible. Cliffs notes, buy quality, get quality sound Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 Even though a good box and install will make subs sound good, you have to have a good/decent sounding sub to begin with. Those kind of people arnt really serious about what knd of system they have Quote
GP1138 Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 IT'S SPELLED SCHOOL GOD DAMN IT! Thank you. Am I the only one who when they see "skool" they think second grade? Quote

THe_DeTAiL3R Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 But about the only thing I'd ever buy would be a Pioneer deck... if it was on sale (their prices aren't super great or anything). Quote
