Monkton
My car isn't hitting all cylinders. Leaving a friends house its top speed was 38mph. Something like this has happened before and it was an ignition coil. I put the pedal to the floor and it barely goes. I believe it's an ignition coil, like before, any other possibilities? GutlessSupreme
coil, wires, spark plug(s), CPS... but ya, most likely another ignition coil, from the sound of it. That'd mean you lost two cylinders, whereas wires/plugs you'd probably only be missing one. and the CPS just retards the timing if it's not working properly (or working properly and detecting too much knock)
Crimson Fury Z
if you are going to do one, replace all 3 and the icm
Monkton
I don't have 3, I have 2. Mine's a 4 cylinder, not a 6 (at least I think that's what makes the difference between 2 and 3). I got a new ignition coil and checked the two in their already, and it was the replaced one that went again. So luckily it was still under the one year warranty . Kind of hard to believe that the other one hasn't gone yet.
5speedz34
You have a 4 cylinder? Do you have a lumina? Not many of the cars around here have the 4-bangers, oh and I would just check the coil that's what it sounds like.
Toxie
if you are going to do one, replace all 3 and the icm I second that...
ToroToro
I'd just replace the failing coil and be done. No need to kick a lot more money into replacing coils and an ICM if they are still good. So you have the Quad 4 then?
