BuickMan
I went to change the spark plugs and the ones in the rear are blocked from the top and bottom. Am I going to have to pull the engine to get to the spark plugs? Is there an easy way to do this?

BuickMan
remove 2 motor mounts and rock the engine forward..jesus christ.. why in the hell would GM engineer a car where you cant reach the freaking spark plugs
Crazy K
so simple to do, yeah it's intrigueing that they did such a thing, but, oh well.... at least you don't have to crawl beneath the car and disconnect some mount at the lower rear of the engine to rock it... be glad it is quite simple, once you know how to do it. I've had to drop my engine 3 times to do the plugs. :x

I've had to drop my engine 3 times to do the plugs. :x Pull the weatherstripping where the rear of the hood meets the sheetmetal, a couple of long extensions and a u-joint or two and the rear plugs are in your hand in 10 minutes or less. Crazy K
3.1 and 2.8 have larger intakes, with longer runners that blcok off access to the rear of the engine. read the thread above for pics!
5speedz34
Yeah, you shouldn't need to do that for a 3x00 motor. But rocking any GM engine helps to do the plugs.

19Cutlass94
I know my engine is rather easy to work on, but I dont find the older ones that hard either.
DaveFromColorado
I've never had a problem doin' the rear plugs ... just lay across the top of the engine bay, and reach down from one of the sides... I've always done it that way, and never had a problem... even on my 88 Regal I did it that way. --Dave.

cutlsp
you could also just remove the altenator braket and rock the engine forward this will give you a TON of space to replace the plugs.
94 supreme
i actually have a tool u put in place of one othe top motor mounts and u ratchet it so the tool closes and it rocks the motor all the way to the radiator and its easier then hell to replace them 8)
