kfahn
I am so car illiterate, but can someone explain to me what the intercooler does, I have my guesses, but i want to know for sure.
brian89gp
Think of it as a radiator for air. A blower or especially a turbo heats up the air quite a bit and pumping it through an IC cools it off and makes a hell of a lot of difference. Cooler=better. NOHC_WBody
The turbo takes in air, and as it does it pressurizes it, creating heat. It pumps it through an intercooler, where it is channeled through the IC's core through tubes or vents or magic little caves or whatever. On a front mount, air passing through it, like a radiator cools it, and it is expelled out the other side a lot cooler and to the intake of the motor.
