Regal_GS_1989
Ok, Time to change out the rear struts in my moms 97 lumina. I have changed struts before, so this is not a big deal. But i got a few questions before i start this. 1) The car has rear drums, So am i right in assuming that I will need to disconnect the brake lines to get the struts off. (The last time i pulled out a strut, i just unbolted the brake caliper, and hung it from the car) 2) I am also going to be changing one of the rear hubs while im at it. Again, am I right to assume that i will have to disconnect the brake line? 3) If one/both of the lines need to be disconnected, how do i go about bleeding the brakes? It has the vaccuum ABS system. Is it bled just like the regular brakes would be, or is there some special procedure to follow? Thanks in advance!
White93z34
you might have to unbolt a bracket from the strut tower, but i'd think thats all the more work. as for the drums... i have no idea at all.
