 and i thought the old rear brakes on my TSTE were bad!

you might not be able to get that rotor turned  are you going to '94+ brakes?

yeah, I wanted to do the upgrade, but I don't have enough money ... so I'm just swappin' all the parts from my Z34 to the Buick ... the Z has less then 5k on the brakes anyhow, and they'll work for now ... I put new rotors and pads on when I did the brakes way back when.

those were the brakes on the car you just bought???

Yup, that's the rear brake on my Regal ... He told me the brakes were dangerously bad, and he didn't recomend driving it home. (part of how I got such a great deal on the car)

Wow! The previous owners brake maintenance is owning your wallet.

the previous owners brake maintenance is owning the breaks off of my Z34 ...

I knew I had a full parts car, for anything I'd need ... that was the reason I picked 'er up.

What. The. Fuck?!? Man, I thought I saw it all last summer when one of my buddies ran his brake pads down past the metal and the piston itself was grinding against the rotor (and leaking fluid out the piston seal.)

Think those were the original rotors?

holy shit those are bad. How are you gonna get those off? They are probably rusted to hell by now...

If you look at the 3rd pic, you'll see that I did get it off, but it took better then 40 minutes thinking about how I was going to do it ... I eventually cut into the rotor with a cut off wheel on one side, and then the oppsite side from there, and then used a set of water pump pliers to bend the rotor back a bit, and then got behind it with an air hammer with the chissel attachment, and it popped right off. Took less then 15 minutes once I came up with the plan.

5speedz34, huh? I'm saying to get rid of the 93 down brakes and upgrade instead of wasting more parts on the 94.

btw, for my 2 upgrades, I got used parts in excellent condition from a junkyard... When You have more time than money... it is easier... since legwork is free :D
