a FXT spring is a FXT spring.. from the looks of the spring chart they were only on FE3 cars anyway, but we all know GM...

I personally have not a clue between the different "types" of suspension. I have a few base model cars, but I have a full suspension setup from a euro that I've been thinking about swapping into my base '92 just because I figured it's the better suspension :confused:

FE1 = Soft ride suspension (granny setup)

FE3 = Sport ride suspension

FWIW here are my TSTE (FE3) codes

6UZ – SPRING, COMPUTER SELECT FRT LH(14100177)

7UZ - SPRING, COMPUTER SELECT FRT RH(14100177)

0HH – SPRING, COMPUTER SELECT REAR (17984220)

Looks like your TSTE has the exact same springs as my TGP.

Do TSTE's ride stiff too? I always wondered if it's the springs or the tires.

my car stock has FE3 and FXT springs. The car I robbed my front knuckles from had FE1 and FXT springs, but now the suspension feels much more soft. I took them from a 97 lumina with the 3.1 L.

Shawn, I have the following on my TGP and it rides pretty stiff with a bone stock suspension at 74,000 miles. My tires are stock sized Goodyear RS-A's.

Front Springs FWW's (one step up from the FUZ springs according to your chart)

Rear Spring - 0HH

It doesn't ride too stiff, I don't think.

Still seems to handle fairly decent though, I'm sure the taller tires hold it back from TGP level though.

Driving the car through corners it is easy to completely forget that it is a sedan, It probably handles better than my Beretta (also FE3, but completely different car).
