terryk2003
Hmmm... The one that came with my hi-amp alternator was 2 1/8", I ended u getting one from a repair shop from a ford that was 1 3/4", yet it is still not enough. I've been looking for 1 1/2" forever becuase like you said, it's such a small gain that it's barely even noticable. ummm...FWIW: he put an OVERDRIVE pulley on...NOT an underdrive... dbtk2
Best mod for $100 bucks.... Well, you can put a screw in your boost controller for ~$.05 - $.10 and turn your boost up a psi or so. Then you can cut your cat out or gut it for ~$15. Then you can put a K&N filter on the turbo for ~$35. Put a 180* thermostat in it for $10. Get an aftermarket boost gauge ~$40. Then your $100 is spent and you just gained a good amount of power. Oh wait, you don't have a turbo 3.1. Ummmmm...........I'd say do a FFP pulley. fastbird232
Get an aftermarket boost gauge ~$40. Then your $100 is spent and you just gained a good amount of power. How many hp does the boost gauge get you?
slick
92luminars, don't you remember the link I posted you? It had a link to the l67 overdrive pulley in it.

How many hp does the boost gauge get you? At LEAST 20-30 horsepower. I do find it frustrating Fastbird, while evry one is paying 100 bucks and getting good power from small things, the best us DOHC guys can do is get a tuneup, just to get STOCK power back. Everything I posted except for maybe the PCM (I know DHP does some DOHC stuff depending on the year and car) you cando to a DOHC. You also have the CAM timimg mod which is completly free except for the tools todo it. Trust me, if you read up on how your engine works and the physics behind the internal combustion engine you will begin to understand that any engine can be modified. Just dont expect it to come in the form of a pre-packged kit with erector-set like instructions.

How many hp does the boost gauge get you? None, but you need to get it so you know what to adjust the boost controller to, which does give you hp. dohcfiend
a ffp underdrive pulley and the belt will equal about 100 bux. also you can gut your convertor which will change the sound of your car for the better and pick u some power too. all it cost you is time. dohcfiend
WTF why didn't anyone tell me this when I was looking... What is the actual size of the 3800 pulley? i done a group buy for alt and wp ud pullies back in the day. here is a link of the installed when i done an a/c delete on my mock motor. http://60degreev6.com/discussion/viewtopic.php?t=7072&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=delete&&start=25 only 2 peeps bought the wp pullies and no1 other than me bought the alt. the lq1 isn't no 1.** litre inline motor. gutting the convertor on a otherwise stock exhaust sounds badass IMO. i took a file a while back. if some1 wants to host, you can hear for yourselves. fastbird232
If I gut the convertor will it sound like crap though? Yes. Trust me. My cat blew its guts out a few months ago, and all I want to do is put a cat/resonator back in there because now it's loud and sounds like total ass. 88Regal Limited
I've heard a 3.4 with no exhaust before. OMFG was it loud, But I could live with it. (White93Z34 and I were picking up a new set of taillights for the regal and hit a huge dip at the junkyard) The ride home was fun though! For $100, Tune up, timing belt, or booze....
