highway i almost get 400 miles

I get almost 400 around town :shock:

thats with my winter tires on and stepping in the gas quite often.

Does your town have stop lights or stop signs? :lol: Sorry.... :bs: I just can't believe that at all...

Yeah, that's a bit unbelieveable.

I get 350mi (almost 400) around town to a tank of gas. Most of the roads I drive on here are 40mph so I usually go about 45 or 50. So I duno if those speeds are closer to highway if you wanna call it that. But most of the time Im either driving 35 to 50mph. But also gotta remember. I dont romp on my car like alot of guys do. I keep the tach around 2 grand. Believe it or not, but I wouldnt post any bullshit like what I think you guys are thinking.

you must run your tank pretty dry...mine starts resting on 1/4 and takes a little over 12 gallons after about 270-340 miles depending on how much time i spent on the highway.

but, then again, i also pound the piss out of it in town and go 75-80 all the time on the freeway

yeah I would consider that highway.

Highway = 50mph+

City= ~30mph

If I drove around at 50mph+ most of the time I'd get about that too. :)

I usually run until I only have like 1-2 gallons left. When I fill it up I end up putting like 15+ gallons of gas in it.

C-BAD, I live off like the main drag and its a 40mph and everyone goes like 45-50 so most of the time Im around 40, but yeah I get to about 50 once and while and I guess you could consider that highway speed since some highways around here have speed limits of 55mph

Well even at 40mph at a consistant speed you are gonna get very good MPG (I know cause I look at my DIC all the time). I don't notice much difference from 40mph-70mph, according to my DIC. If I'm on the "highway" and pushing 75+mph that's when I notice I start to lose MPG according to the DIC.

It's stop-and-go that REALLY kills gas mileage.

And FWIW I notice my DIC is faily accurate... I put in 51L in the tank today and my DIC said I had used 49L of fuel so that's not too far off...

yeah I usually avoid most traffic lights if I can and just do those "rolling stops" But I hardly ever have to stop cuz of a traffic light... so I dont do much stop and go, but I also keep it below highway speeds too.....

I wish I had something like that that would tell you, I just get a gauge that drops like the a-bomb after half tank. I just wait till the check gauge light comes on then I know Ill have to fill it up within a couple days.

I always fill up as soon as it gets below 1/4, but not reaching the "check fuel" guage. Bad for the fuel pump.

At say, 7/8ths of a tank I put in about 50L, whereas the tank is suppose to be 60L capacity. At that point my DIC is usually telling me I got a range of about 60km/40miles left (city driving).

So if I were to push it to the limit and use 55L (14.5G) of gas, at 35mpg I should be able to get around 500miles out of a tank.. highway.

When I gas up I usually end up putting 17 gallons in my car :lol:

I just use the "E" as an estimate. I remember one time I put 16.5 gallons of gas in and its only a 16.5 gallon tank. :think: Ive cam close to running it dry amany times.
