no1kicker Posted April 1, 2003 Report Share Posted April 1, 2003 My battery light started flashing at me on my way home today. It didn't seem to matter how fast I was going or what I had on. The battery and alt are new as of January. Any suggestions, things to look for? I was thinking maybe a frayed wire, but unsure where to look. As always, your help is appreciated. Robby1870 Posted April 1, 2003 Report Share Posted April 1, 2003 yeah maybe a power leak or something. But, you never know about these alternators. I bought a new one, and that day it broke on me. I hit 4K rpms and I heard a loud snap and immediately the battery light came back on. I took it off and the whole inside of it had come apart.
