FastSE2DR
I might have a good deal on an 02 GP GT parts car with complete drivetrain and interior but its pretty messed up otherwise...My 3100 is aging and so is the tranny...my main question is is the 02 as easy to swap as say like a 98 or is it more difficult because of the BCM or passlock(whatever it is). L67swap.com didnt work tonight so I thought I'd just ask now. If i remember right it bolts in with the borng of a couple bolt holes, combination of the axles, and some wiring, correct? Does anyone do the extra work like the wiring and the axles beforehand anymore? I feel lazy right now so I really wouldnt wanna do it myself... stockgp
brianteel does the wiring. he is a member here as well as l67swap. i don't know about the boring out of any holes. i was under the impression that the 3.8 would bolt right in place of the 60 degree. yes, you will need to combine the outer part of your driveshafts with th inner parts of the 3.8 shafts. and you need a 3.8 fuel pump. i can't answer your questions about the bcm. pm brianteel. brianteel
what year make and model is your car? I suggest getting the 3800 monte carlo harness and selling the one off the motor. it will make the swap look alot neater. other than that you have to swap the inner tripod on the axles. that is very easy to do. that is it. you have the rest of the parts from the parts car. you could stay with the stock pump if you want. it should not matter right now. if you mod the motor you should definitly change it... i am not sure why the swap site is down. i wil try and figure it out
skalor
Brian, is the Monte Carlo harness compatible with other PCMs?? I already have HPTuners for '99 Grand Prixs and was wondering if I can use the harness with that PCM?? Also, that harness is compatible with the L67 as well?? FastSE2DR
94 Grand Prix SE 3100 how much is the wiring?
brianteel
PM for cost details.... it will work with any GM PCM 98-03. it uses the same style connectors and wiring. you would need to use the 98-99 monte carlo Z34 or lumina LTZ harness to get it to work. the harness works like the GTP harness. i get the wiring for the boost bypass and the map from ZZP and wire in all the power and ground wires needed. alot of wires have to be added and removed from the C100 to the PCM and fuse box. I do not suggest anyone going this unless they know how and have done it before. i was finding harnesses from $150 to $200. some are as much as $300. I do not get the harnesses my self i just rewire them for people
