Guest donkeykongrape Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 So, if I'm considering an L67 swap, I'd want to make some of my money back by selling my current powertrain. I have a 3.1 (LH0) with only 87k miles on it and it works like a charm. It's incredibly clean and runs smoothly. The trans. is a newly rebuilt 4T60 that I spent $1800 getting rebuilt about 3 months ago. I put less than 10k miles on it since then. How much do you guys think I can get for these if I decide to put it up on ebay or something? If I can't get at least half of the cost of an L67+4T65-EHD covered for, I won't do it. Quote
slick Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 Together- $600 tops Seperate, probably a good $500 for the trans, and depending on the buyer, anywhere from $100-$250 for the engine. Quote
jeremy Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 Chris is right....$600 tops for the combo, selling seperately you might make a little more... Quote
patgizz Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 where are you guys finding these prices? i tried for 6 months to sell a running driving 3.1/4T60 combo with accessories, wiring, and computer for $75 and nobody bought it. Quote
Guest donkeykongrape Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 yikes, well fuck that then, that would be a major loss of money on my part...if you didn't catch it earlier, I spent $1800 getting my trans rebuilt...I'm making sure that it becomes worth it! Quote
1990lumina Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 Yeah a tranny rebuild is more then my POS car is worth, so I plan to swap in a junkyard tranny, or just part my car when the tranny pukes Quote
Guest donkeykongrape Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 I was too stupid back then to know better. Had I known as much as I do now, I would have swapped in a 5 speed from a J/Y or e-bay, I DEEPLY regret it now, but whatever, the car runs great Quote
GP1138 Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 $.50. I'd go so far as to say.. good luck GIVING it away! Quote
slick Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 Ouch.... I guess you just have to find the right people to buy the stuff. For example, one of the guys i graduated from HS with a few years ago had to have a new 3.1 put into his GP. I think he payed about $400 for that alone. Quote
