GutlessSupreme Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 You're supposed to have to notch the heads to get them to fit, correct? Does anybody actually have modded heads? I don't mean the the roller tipped ones, btw. the FULL roller ones. Also, I'm trying to search now but in case I can't find it.. Do I need custom pushrods? I can't remember if that was only with the top end swap, or if I needed to with the rocker swap as well. They will be used in conjunction with a Crane H260 cam... Quote
Vegeta Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 You will need custom pushrods for that setup. You will also need to either notch the pedestal mounts for the 3100 rollers or use aftermarket with your guideplates (harland sharp or crane gold race). Quote
GutlessSupreme Posted February 24, 2006 Author Report Posted February 24, 2006 thank you. Do you happen to know the length's for the pushrods, or will they be different anyway because of my cam? (though I wouldn't think so). I just remembered, I have a spare N/A head I can chew up if need be for test fitment... that should be fun. Quote
GutlessSupreme Posted February 25, 2006 Author Report Posted February 25, 2006 duur.. I meant to ask: Does anyone actually have pics* of the modded heads? Quote
dbtk2 Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 I'd just use the non-roller 3100 rockers. You won't notice the difference in power and it will be a LOT less work. Especially since you are running a cam along with it. Shawn Quote

Especially since you are running a cam along with it. Shawn I figured it would end up coming down to that.. I just had the full rollers laying around from when Greg sold me the car. I have a set of rockers that I bought for the TGP, and supposedly they're 1.6 ratio, but they are still completely stamped. though they did look a bit different than the stockers, and they have that tab over the pushrod side on the top to help direct the oil flow (I know now that all later stamped rockers got this, but it seems as though the first 1.6s were the semi-rollers). thanks doods.. looks like I'll just try to get ahold of the roller tipped ones.
