LukeZ34 Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 I gutted my trunk last week so I could start planning for a redesigned stereo for the car. But I couldn't stand driving around with just the factory rear stock speakers connected.. so I decided to do some temporary additions.. It's nice to have the car sitting level again though, lol. I remembered I had an old single 10" prefab box that I had bought long ago for the lumina. So I went and dug through my parents garage, loaded it up, and neatly mounted everything to it as seen in the image(s) below. It's all temporary till I can get the new system finished. http://www.lukez34.com/misc/3-30-03/box1.JPG A few more pictures of the box: http://www.lukez34.com/misc/3-30-03/box2.JPG http://www.lukez34.com/misc/3-30-03/box3.JPG In the car- http://www.lukez34.com/misc/3-30-03/boxincar.JPG Also, I haven't taken any pictures of my components that I mounted in the doors yet. These were also connected to the head unit this weekend as well. Just these speakers, and the sub itself make a good sounding little system. Plus I finally can use all the cool features my headunit has since everything is running from it. Door speakers: http://www.lukez34.com/misc/3-30-03/doorspeaks.JPG I noticed my leaky hydraulic top pump when I removed everything from the trunk. Do any other convertible owners have this problem? From the way it looks, the oil resivoir is refillable.. but why is it leaking? http://www.lukez34.com/misc/3-30-03/pumpleak.JPG http://www.lukez34.com/misc/3-30-03/oileddust.JPG I sanded the black paint off my stock exhaust tips. I still think GM was retarted for putting 2 pipes on the muffler, and then only making one functional. You can see that the inner ones cleaned up nicely, but the outer ones had some nasty rust forming, and I wasn't able to get it off. http://www.lukez34.com/misc/3-30-03/stocktips.JPG Quote
