cutty Posted February 23, 2006 Author Report Posted February 23, 2006 nebojsa_o fixed his 7 months ago and is trying to help me out with it Part numbers? no clue on the part numbers, i just have to reinstall the little spring that fell out. Quote
92LuminaRS Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 I bought a broken gas door once... unfortuinately I had to take the whole car with it. Quote
paulo57509 Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 Most times when this happens, there's a little tab that holds the spring in place that breaks off. Typically, you need to replace the entire door assembly. I drilled a hole and installed a pop rivet and washer to act as the tab. Been working for years now. I wish I took some pics of the fix. Quote
White93z34 Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 fore the love of god, its so easy to pull the fuel door, open it up, see the 2 small rivits holding it in place, drill those out. and it falls into your lap. then put new rivits in to put it back. unless the cutlass is different then my lumina, but i don't see why that would be.
