rshissler Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 My subs are hittin at different times. What can i do about it? i mean its not a big difference but enough that everyone that watches them can tell. Quote
Pyle Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 what do you mean by different? one hits in and the other out? if that is the case it would seem to me that they are wired out of phase (you have the positive and negative switched). Are they DVC subs, maybe they werent wired properly? Quote
rshissler Posted February 22, 2006 Author Report Posted February 22, 2006 Like one will hit then the other. Like Sub 1 will hit then .5 secs later Sub 2 will hit Quote

Pyle Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 wow, that sounds wierd. are they both running off the same amp? how are they wired... bridged, stereo. if you are running in stereo, try bridging them (L+, R-...at the amp). you will have to run the subs in series, i believe. this is where dvc subs would come in handy. they give better options for load configurations, imo o... is the box common cavity, or is there a divider between the chambers? if one side is not totally sealed and the other is, it could produce this effect. 19Cutlass94 Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 I was gonna say if its a sealed box, one could be blown if their not in their own chamber. Quote

rshissler Posted February 23, 2006 Author Report Posted February 23, 2006 its not that botherin to me im gettin rid of them soon. they are Alpine type-es runnin off of a RF P2002 Amp in a port box with one chamber. the entire box is covered in resin so it should be leakin air Quote
slick Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 Thats your problem- 1 chamber. The subs are pushing/pulling against each other. They need to be in there own chamber. Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 I have a dual 12 box, and both the subs are in the same chamber, and I dont have a problem. As long as they are working properly you shouldnt have a problem at all. Quote
99montez34 Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 your other problem is that you might have the gain a tad bit high, or........................ simply because you are using a 2002 amp! those speakers handle 250rms i believe and im not saying you shouldnt use that amp.... but buddy, damn, give some power to push those speakers Quote
rshissler Posted February 24, 2006 Author Report Posted February 24, 2006 yea there sounding and workin good, just everytime i show off my system some smartass goes "ur subs are moving at different times" Edit: Yea im sellin the RF and gettin either a Viper 2700w amp or and Orion 2320W amp Quote
99montez34 Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 ohh who cares theres always going to be somebody with someting negative to say Quote
92LuminaRS Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 ...theres always going to be somebody with someting negative to say Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 when you get a new amp, start from the begining and just rewire everything. I duno if your running them brigded or stereo, but if its a two channel amp, one of the channels could have gone Quote
