Ok, I tried searching this, but came up with nothing on how to remove it.

I nightshaded my tails last spring, without sanding the lenses down first. So, of course, when I was done it had ran some, especially on the ends of the lights where it curves

This week im trying to remove it via sanding. I started with 400 grit first to see if i can get rid of the deeper shades of it, with no luck

does anybody have any suggestions on how to get it off?

You can try super clean, acetone, or laquer thinner. If those dont work, get more serious and use aircraft stripper. I definitely wouldn't bother sanding them.

Worst come to worst, and those chemicals dont work or fuck up the taillights, just buy new ones. That's pretty much all your options right there.

EDIT: I see you only want the runs off. Just keep working on it with sand paper. I dont see why it wouldn't work. Maybe try a wet 400, or dry 220. Then go up from there after you get the runs out.

i'd try the laquer/stripper stuff, but ive got nowhere to use it. I'd do it in my basement, but I actually want to HAVE brain cells when I'm done with it

this is the spare tails that I bought from patgizz a while ago, so ive got another set on the car now, if that dont work i'll just do those, if it EVER gets warm here i'll use the aircraft stripper.

thanks torotoro

Did my tails and b/u's last year. It removed easily if you did it withing 5 minutes of spraying. That's about it though IIRC

i think stripper might crack the acrylic. i think acetone or mineral spirits would be better
