timg Posted March 23, 2006 Report Posted March 23, 2006 Those look great. I'm really impressed that you cast them and then milled them. Anybody can do machine work, but it takes a man to do casting. Tim Quote
95oldsVan Posted March 23, 2006 Report Posted March 23, 2006 Those look great and I love seeing homemade stuff people can get done in the garage or shop. I also agree, bore the holes out and use some polyurethane bushings with metal sleeves inside to quiet them down some.Think of a C4 corvette suspension...the rear suspension had large holes in the aluminum support braces/trailing arms and have bushings inside of them.I replaced the entire C4 rear end bushings with prothane units and felt a great difference over stock but did not have a a harsh ride at all over stock.Id imagine wit would work very well on an application like yours.
