z284pwr
Stock compression is ~8.9:1, just get something like a Crane H260 Cam, its about the best you can get with keeping the stock computer.
dbtk2
Yeah I would go with a crane H260 cam or a Comp 260 cam. Both are good cams and will work well for your engine. Stock cam is .394" intake/.410" exhaust. The Crane h260 is .427" intake/.454" exhaust, and the comp is .440" intake/.440" exhaust. You could also run some 1.6 rockers along with either of those cams for a little bit more of a boost in performance, although you might want to get some head work done before doing this because I'm not so sure stock heads will flow any air with that kind of lift. And as was already said, compression is 8.9:1. If you replace your head gaskets with iron head gaskets from like a Fiero or something like that you will bump your compression up .5:1. (so then you'll have 9.4:1) Then obviously you can deck your heads too if you want. Shawn
