All 94-95 GP's come prewired for HUD? ***UPDATE ON PAGE 3***

Aweb80 thinks so. But he gave me this pic that shows the harness for hud on his car. But i don't have that

I finally sold one to a kid on eBay who couldn't seem to find it to save his life. I originally thought they were all pre-wired for HUD, as WELL as DIC. Maybe he just didn't look hard enough, I don't know. I know when I installed one a few years back, it took some digging around to find it, but they were there, bundled up, and taped down in the dash.

See that hole they're sticking out of? They're there, stick your fingers back there and pull the piece of foam out. They're all bundled up and taped together back there. I almost guarantee it.

I looked everywhere up th ere. There is nothing.

There is nothing up at the top. Nothing at the bottom. So it's suppose to be taped towards the top inside? i also see no traces of foam.

Can you get a pic? I want to see proof. Not that I don't believe you, but so far, it's just generally accepted that all 94-96 GP's are pre-wired.

Well shit! Hmm. You could also try looking under the dash itself. Take the shitty felt that's draped under the dash off and stick your hand under there, I guess, or take a flashlight and look around.

Been there and done that. The bottom piece is already off. i'll try a flashlight. be back in 5 minutes. Don't go too far.

Now where would the harness originate??? Maybe I could check there and trace it.

Can somebody take the picture above and use MS PAINT and kinda of draw where it might be at. This is insane.

 

Note: mine is a base model GP se. no sunroof. no abs. cheap cloth seats. ect. only option probably is that it came with a cd player and b4u.

No ABS??? Hmm. Maybe that's why. Mine was base too. It had column shift, etc. And it had the prewiring. Seriously, the wiring was right behind where the light spot is in your pic. I just had to unwrap the electrical tape around the harnesses.

Same here. If this doesn't exist in your car, it will be only the second case I've heard of it, provided that kid I sold the HUD to never ended up finding it.

Pull your cluster out and see if that gives you any more room to see.

the harness goes pretty far down toward where the A-pillar meets the floor.....check way down there.....

Because you're not pre-wired for HUD?? That sounds like a cop-out to me.
