If my dad were to switch motors from my 94 Z34, to his 93 Z34, would he need to swap the ecm also? I ask because I may need the ecm for my cutlass.

I believe so. The ecm wouldn't be the same. 94-95 are different, and 96-97 are different (I think, I could be wrong) But either way, I'm almost positive 94 and 93 are different

they are diffrent, the 94 is the 1.5 odb or something like that. also 93 and 94 engines were diffrent if i remember right...

no he doesn't. if he puts the 94 motor in the 93 just use the MAP sensor and bracket off the 93 engine and don't hook up the extra crank sensor or the cam sensor, and it will function just as the 93 engine. been there, done that.
