dkorinko
Ok guys I have an autometer oil pressure gauge that has three wires coming out of it, one is for power, one for ground and one for the oil reading, is what I would imagine!??? My question is, what what wire can i tap into on the car to get a reading for the oil pressure???? A quick response would be greatly appreciated, thanks Oh and this is on a 97 GTP Dane
sl3196
Umm should have came with a sender. Take out the stock sender above oil filter and put in the new one.
joberlee
DON'T get rid of the stock sensor, it is connected to the ecm and has a fuel pump cut out curcuit. there should be a new sending unit just for the guage, if there is no other spot to screw it in you can get a T fitting and screw both into that. Good Luck
sl3196
You can get rid of the stock sensor. It only controls the oil pressure dummy light as far as i've heard.

I know that's untrue as far as first gens go.. dunno about second gens.
sl3196
Well I took mine out and haven't had a problem. I was told to keep the stock sender only if I wanted the oil dummy light to function. Most 2nd gen guys don't keep em.
