WhiteMonteZZZ
My 95 Monte was built in 10/94 -- thus, it has the 10.5" front rotors (and rear drums, yay!). Anyways, I've had the car roughly 3.5 yrs. The front rotors have been turned twice, to my knowledge (not really warped, according to my brake guy). The car now has Wagner Ceramic brake pads (maybe 3500 miles on them or so). I'm starting to get a light pulsing in my braking, moreso at highspeeds. I'm assuming my rotors are nearing the end of their life and are warping. My questions are these: 1) What rotors would you recommend for my car? Brands, etc. I'm not going for Nascar stopping power here...but don't want cheapo crap that'll fail in another year or three. 2) With my new rotors, can I re-use the old (yet still almost new) pads? Or is changing the brake pads mandatory w/a rotor change? I'll be going in a couple months to have the work done (when my summer rims/tires are put back on and balanced), and want to collect the parts now. Thanks, WhiteMonteZZZ
19Cutlass94
Since I work at NAPA, I can say the best grade of their rotors is a great rotor. A little expensive yes, but there made in the USA, so you get what you pay for But they will last a long time and have enough meat if they have to be turned a couple times. And yes you can use the "almost brand new" pads with the new rotors.

slick
Why not do the brakes yourself? I could literally walk you through step by step if need-be.
WhiteMonteZZZ
I've never done them before. As easy as brakes are (from what I'm told), I'd rather not dick with them. While I have them do them though, I'm getting my summer wheels/tires put on (and balanced, if needbe). Just going to kill 2 birds w/1 stone, so to speak. brianhasadd
Why not do the brakes yourself? I could literally walk you through step by step if need-be. I might have to take you up on that statement....I want to upgrade the brakes on my GP to Cross-drilled rotors and I really have no idea how to change brakes at all. I want to order a WHOLE brake kit (cross-drilled rotors, new pads, new calipers). Can you help me???

The guy we use (who's gonna throw my summer rims on, install w/e brake components I bring for 1 hr labor, etc) goes waaaaay back w/my dad, so he gives us pretty good deals on everything. But....depending, I may be interested. PM me and let me know. Thanks, WhitemonteZZZ
