cardude43
So I'm considering a chip from 60degreev6.com. Just wondering if anyone has an install of it on a 3.4 DOHC. What kind of gain do you see? What should I set the rev limitors to; I'm thinking 7000 rpm in gear and 6500 in N. What do you'll think? http://60degreev6.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=
patgizz
why do you need such a high rev limiter in N? kinda useless to sit there and gun it. otherwise ben's chips are the only way to go. it takes alot for me to recommend someone, but i've seen his work firsthand and met him and his stuff is top notch. Crazy K
6500 in N? trying to neutral drop it????? WTF? Don't come talking to us when you're bitching about your tranny blew up and it's shrapnel punched holes in the hood!!! Otherwise, I'm happy with the factory chip myself. The rev limiter is there for a reason, to prevent engine damage.
joey b
Ben's chip has performance potential as well. I have my N limiter at 4K and kept my shift points the same (I don't want to burn up my clutches). I also disabled my EGR since it is not possible to keep it in use. 3carz34
You won't be disappointed with Ben's chip, its probably the best add on you can get for the money.Leave your rev limiters in place so you don't wreck stuff !!!! Its expensive to replace blown up tranny's and DOHC's. BRIAN 92 Z-34 FFP stuff so far
cardude43
So 4000 in N is okay. What about in gear I guess 7k is too high, so is 6500 okay as well? I don't want to screw up the drivetrain. Any suggestions? I'm not interested with screwing with shift points.
joey b
the shift points are set to MPH. stock, I believe, is 6400.
