GutlessSupreme Posted January 31, 2006 Report Posted January 31, 2006 That they make a specific tool to remove frozen caliper pins for our cars http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?UseCase=C001&UserAction=performMoreDetail&Parameters=TRUE%7C%7ESpecialty+%28Tools%29%7C%7ENONE%7C%7EGreat+Neck++++++++++++++++++++++++++Gm+Frozen+Rear+Caliper+Guide+Pin+Remover+Tool%7C%7ENONE%7C%7EFALSE%7C%7EFALSE%7C%7E143441%7C%7E5056%7C%7E27108%7C%7ENONE%7C%7E%2412.00%7C%7ENONE%7C%7ENONE%7C%7ENONE%7C%7ENONE%7C%7E1.1%7C%7ENONE%7C%7EB%7C%7EGRN%7C%7Etrue Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted January 31, 2006 Report Posted January 31, 2006 I probably could have used that! I pounded one with a hammer and they wouldn't even budge. Quote
Justin Posted January 31, 2006 Report Posted January 31, 2006 I'm not sure how that tool is supposed to work, but it looks pretty fragile.... I'm guessing it would have broken with the last caliper I fixed, I had to put it in a hydraulic press to get the slide out. Still works perfectly after over a year. Quote
