sharkbomb06
Does anyone know of a way to mount an 8" sub to the rear deck of a 94 Lumina. Has anyone attempted this? I know they do this in a lot of high end cars and I was interested in trying this for my car. Thanks.
slick
It's possible, but don't cut too much of that metal from under the rear deck. That add's a good amount of structural support in the rear end.
THe_DeTAiL3R
hehe.. I'm thinking of maybe doing the same thing myself! http://www.w-body.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=37519 Although I listened to some nice Infinity 6x9s today, and damn they do have good bass... 19Cutlass94
I think your better off just going with 6x9's for the rear deck. Because even an 8" sub in IB wont really do all that much.
jdcutty
Open air subs never really do anything but flutter and distort. Especially if there is any kind of power applied to them.

Not entirely true, I had 2 12's in a baffle board in my camaro that hit like a bitch. The guys at circuit city were even surprised at how hard it hit. It still wasn't anything compared to a box though.

Subs dont like to push air in both directions without any resistance on one side.
