Guest RedCutlassSL Posted March 24, 2003 Report Posted March 24, 2003 sometimes, when i'm making a right turn i can feel a shudder coming from the passenger side rear wheel. what could be causing this? Quote
toastemcutlass Posted March 24, 2003 Report Posted March 24, 2003 your wheel bearings, is the sound coming from the front or the back of the car? and it will normally be the opposite side of the way that makes noise Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted March 25, 2003 Report Posted March 25, 2003 I have seen broken belts do that. How does the tire look? Quote
toastemcutlass Posted March 25, 2003 Report Posted March 25, 2003 a broken belt in the tire could definetly do that. look and the side walls in and out and on the driving surface see if there is any bumps or dips. Quote
toastemcutlass Posted March 25, 2003 Report Posted March 25, 2003 one more thing, hows your alignment? Quote
RedZMonte Posted March 25, 2003 Report Posted March 25, 2003 I would say eather something with the tire or bad hub bearings. I would rotate the tires and if it still happends then replace the hub. RedZ Quote
toastemcutlass Posted March 25, 2003 Report Posted March 25, 2003 i still think its probably the bearing, so jack the car off the ground and try one tire at a time, put hands on either side of the tire and rock it back and forth then try up and down, usally you can feel the play in a bad bearing. Guest RedCutlassSL Posted March 25, 2003 Report Posted March 25, 2003 i'm gonna see if there is any play in the tire later today. replacing the wheel bearings is a cheap and easy job anyway right? Quote
Guest RedCutlassSL Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 well it isn't the wheel bearings Quote
JS91Z34 Posted March 26, 2003 Report Posted March 26, 2003 Mine does it going left. Mine is an alignment problem. I'm just waiting till it pisses me off to fix it Quote
