HELP ASAP Please! UB3 Adapter, stays lit while car's off

Need help ASAP, dash in pieces! OK I got one of those adapters for the base cluster to ub3 in my regal. I took the dash apart, plugged in the adapter, plugged the original harness into the adapter and the ub3 lit up beautifully... Only problem is the cars key was in my pocket, it stays on at all times :( (the cluster). I really need to get this going, I have things to see and people to do tomorrow, need my dash back together. Ideas?

just guessing, but if you have something wired to a live source and not a swiched source it will stay on al the time

figured that but I got the adapter from stockgp so I didn't do any of the wiring...

Would it have something to do with the digital odometer?

It was just a total guess, I really have no clue. The only other thing I can think of is that there is a wire somewhere else that is drawing constant power.

pm stockgp, let him know the issue.

ok, I got it to work properly, I had to disconnect the orange wire that was in c16 in the original cluster connector, now I just need to wire the tach and stuff...

ok..... I think the tach has to hook to an ornage wire that goes to the data link connector...... btw, what was your original gauge and what is the upgrade gauge??? are you sticking in a CS one???

I got it all working fine that night, I was going from the 89 regal base cluster to an 89 regal ub3
