3pt1lumina
Dad's 97 Lumina needs the radiator replaced. I've done them before but never on a new car. So.... how easy is it? and what do I have to do? Also, how the hell do you bleed the system afterwords? Thanks guys 8) I tried a search but didn't come up with anything. Crazy K
as easy as the 94 down lumina. Same bleed method. radiotor is just a little wider and all. You have to take off the fans, the rubber hoses, the tranny lines, and then the braces that hold it. You may have to take off the airbox, as well. Why replace? j/k My radiator has 215000+ miles at least on it! Nothing like taking higher mileage parts and putting them on a lower mileage car! 3pt1lumina
The car has 117k on it and I am 90% sure the smell is coming from the radiator. I will look into it more but this is my thought process as of right now. I know what you're saying; my Lumina still has the original radiator at 133k... so yeah. How exactly do you bleed the system? I've never done it before.
ToroToro
There's a bleed screw on the T-stat housing. Leave it open as you fill everything up. Then let it run for awhile to get the air out and close the bleed screw. DONT over-tighten it.
