Prospeeder
Turn the a/c on and see if the fans kick on, they should only kick on at abnout 220-225 or somthing, 215 sounds about perfect, if its cold out they may not ever kick on

Crazy K
ExZion, Are you talking about 3.1 or 3100? your profuile vehcile being a 3100 powered 94 CS? info is still the same, however... my bros 94 CS is the same way. It has to get just a bit hotter for the fan to kick. The drivers side fan will turn on when it gets slightly hotter, and the passenger side one goes with the ac. (in fact, my expericence with w 3100 in a 95 ciera shows that the drivers fan turns on much earlier with ac on than off, something I have not observed in the 94 or 95 CS.) Try blocking the radiator with some cardboard to make it run a bit hotter, just to test. If a sensor is out of spec.... the coolant sensor beneath the throttle body (by the thermostat) is the one that tells the ecm the engine temp, and kicks the fan on. The gauge uses a sensor located in the corner of the rear head, on the drives side, by the firewall.
THe_DeTAiL3R
Let it run on the spot, with the hood closed. Takes a good 20+min until my engine gets hot enough for the fan to kick in. I dunno what temp it is, but it's like just over 2/3rds on the guage.
Guest Anonymous
my car always runs halfway between the 100 and 220 ticks... sometimes if im in traffic it will run up to 220, but i've never had my fans kick in.
