A couple more 5 speed questions

First, I need to know if anyone can post a pic of the SLAVE cylinder removed from the transmission.. I have mine here, and want to make certain I have everything.. And a note to anyone doing this, if you run across a W in the yard with the parts tou want, the linkage from the master cylinder to the clutch pedal is super easy to remove if the seat is removed.. It gives you all the more freedom to move about and get down there..

Also, how difficlut is the intermediate shaft bracket to remove from these cars without removing the engine and transmission? If it is difficult, anyone have one layin around?

the intermediate shaft bracket is really easy to remove without pulling the engine and transmission. just pull the passenger side wheel and it's right there.

the plastic ball thing on the end is the end of the rod that pushes on the arm inside the bellhousing (that arm actuates the TO bearing) the short plastic 'leg' things are only used to keep the rod inside the slave cylinder after you remove it so it doesn't over extend. you do need the plastic ball thing on the end of the rod, but the 'leg' retainers really aren't too important.

if you already removed the slave cylinder and the plastic thing on the end wasn't there, chances are it fell off inside the bellhousing.

i would think so, but i'm really not sure. if all else fails i'm pretty sure you can buy a new slave cylinder from Checker or NAPA.
