Well i have a 90 lumina euro 3.1 coupe and when i start the car up i have to give it gas for it to start and stay runing. after a min or 2 of holding the rpms at 1500 i let the gas go and it idles fine at 1000. When i rev the car up in nuetral it hesitates from 2000 to 2500 rpm then when i hit the rev limited it starts ot back fire not bad though. When i put the car in gear and take off it has like 1/4 or the power it did befor. it feel like the tcc is locked up in every gear. its very sluggish 1000 miles on the last oil change 3 months on ac delco plugs, plug wires and 3 new coil packet 1 month old along with the ecm at the same time new iac and tps and egr. so i have no idea what the problem is...

nope no whine unless i manually put it in first it will whine but i heard that was normal.

Is the check engine light on??? does it work?

 

For the TCC, try unplugging the plug at the top front of the transmission and see how the car performs. It should cause the tcc not to engage. Though i don't think that is your problem.

 

New fuel filter and airfilter? I had a weak car once, and discovered it was due to a birdnest in the airbox.

 

The next thing I can think of is crapped out fuel injectors, or maybe an engine that has lost significant compression.

 

p.s. have you checked the vacuum lines? An indicaation of their failure is a non working cruise control and a disabled climate control's vent selection system.

check your fuel pressure. you could also have a very cloged up fuel filter, i'd change that just because.

vacum lines are all good no cracks or wear on the soft parts. compresstion is good, new air filter o i all so had to replace the FPR it was putting out black smoke and and fuel in the vacum lines. i did a sea foam cleaner it ran good for a few hours the started runing like shit again.

TCC wouldnt do it, it would only do it if he had been Driving highway speeds and went to a stop, because it has to engage and then get stuck/selinoid stuck and not disengage cauing it to stall.

 

im thinking fuel pump or clogged fuel filter

Ok well im gonna change my fuel filter and see if that fixed the problem. Ill keep you guys informed. The fuel filter is under the driver side set under the car?

ok guys i just went outside to run my car and when i give it gas it falls on its face till i warmed up and when i gave it gas after that the oil pressure light comes on. But the oil pressure gauge says its fine i check the oil and its full. i took it on a lil run around the block and when im just crusing at 35 or any speed it hasitating and the oil and templight come on but both guages says there normal. :bash:

vid would be good. Does the week feeling the car has happen only at the same time as the weird gauge action? Or are they known to be seperate issues?

 

do any of the gauges jump? (or dance lol) A failing alternator caused my guages to go haywire.... the speedo espceially..... It would snap higher whenever i applied the brakes........

i know its not the alt its done the guage jumping on me befor i had to replace the alt. the weak feeling and the oil and temp guage things are happing at the same time not even out of gear when i rev it they come on... :confused:

well i put on a new fuel filter that wasnt the problem but i traced it down... my air intake tube had a huge split in the bottom of it went to the j/y got a new one and its all good now. Im still having a bit of and hasitation problew and went i turn my key over but not turn my car on theres a fan that just keep running when my ac and heat are on off. also i found and Z in the j/y and a euro sedan 3.4 im looking to get.
