EsCo Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 I have a 94 base 4-door lumina. The car is currently sitting on factory 14's (steels). My question, can i just get a bigger rim with out down sizing the tire to take up more of the wheel well gap? Would rubbing be too much of an issue?? -§teve Quote
Robby1870 Posted March 22, 2003 Report Posted March 22, 2003 Im pretty sure facorty steels are 15s, I know mine on GP are. Anway, if you want to fill up your wheel wells more, go to 16in rims and get like 235/(65 or 60)/16 tires. If you want to keep your stock steels, go with like 225/70/15s or something that will fill the well up. Remeber your speedo will not read correctly if you change your overall tire diameter. If you got any more questions let us know man Robby Quote
Justin Posted March 22, 2003 Report Posted March 22, 2003 You could get 14" steels as well, my blue 89 CS had them, and I've seen at least one Lumina with them. I actually have a spare set of Olds crosslace rims in the 14" diameter.... Quote
