Hello all i was wondering if you could help me with a issue that my car has had lately. While driving at a constant highway speed my car stutters, but when i let off of the gas the rpms change slightly and the stutter is gone. their isn't an ses light but i know something isnt right so any help would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like the torque converter shutter problem everyone has. There is a fix, TransGo valvebody.

yeah I was going to say valve body, but since you had rebuilt like 4 months ago.......I dont know. Its got the 4T60E so go figure, it probably take 10 tranny specialists to figure it out....lol.

Do the rpms fluctuate with the shudder, or does it just jerk back and forth?

What about the TPS? Most TPS's wear out or short out at a cruising throttle position. Thats where the most contact is made during engine operation. If the TPS is worn out it will not kick the MIL on. If it shorted it will. But chances are the car wouldn't idle for nothing. Just a suggestion. :) :) :)

So are you saying if that the tps could cause the car to idle ok if the tps is worn and just cruise poorly. Do you think that it could be anything else that would cause it to do that.

I was just having this problem Except it was doing it in nuetral too. I just changed my plugs, wires, got a K&N air filter, and gave it an oil change and it works great now.
