Prospeeder
i was told it was only Auto, see Ross's thread on stalling, i recall alot of people, possibly even YOU saying it was the Auto i would say the people with manual do it cause they dont know how to drive not saying i know how to drive a stick tho, i suck
chadz34
The auto's do it for sure. Mine did it once or twice. I don't think I have heard of standard one's doing it, they may.

It is completely unrelated. The TSB covers just the 5speeds, my old z did it quite often. AUTOS DO NOT DO IT.
joey b
Mine was horrible. Would stall like once a day and then start right back up at the drop of a hat. I got some 94 injectors on ebay and it ran just fine. I'm sure I didn't have dirty injectors because I always run premium fuel and an occasional fuel injector cleaner. All of my stalling symptoms were the same as everyone's elses. Usually while you are driving at idle speed or if you brake.

Spoon
I have a '92 grandprix with a 3.4L, AUTO I have had the exhact same problem, my rpms would also fluctuate when letting off the gas at around 60km/h. I spent over $1000.00 and many hours tring to figure this one out. It ended up being the injectors. I know they weren't plugged because I did an injector flush on them twice. I happend to do the bulletin as mentioned, by upgrading my injectors from a '92 style to a '94 (from wreckers). Ran like a dream after that!! Crazy K
Get with the program!!! The service bulletin may state stalling with a 3.4 w manual tranny... But Gm (like Ford does for it's line of self-flaming explorers and recalls only the most seriously bad batch) may have turned a blind eye to 3.4 w auto, because the problem was less frequent. Obviously it is not an officially recognized problem.

Plus go back into prev. forms, that will tell you how much of a problem there is with these things. Auto or Man. doesn't matter.
joey b
He's not denying the problem. He's just saying that it was recognized BY GM for the manuals but rather ignored (Not recalled) for the autos.
Crazy K
is there an updated bulletin? if so someone should post it or a link. I would think that Gm may be keeping it on the down low so they won't have to fix all the cars, just the most serious... Thereby keeping in a tsb and not a recall.
