Euro Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 you have the 4t60-e...the 4t60 was last used in 93 Quote
Crazy K Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 you have the 4t60-e...the 4t60 was last used in 93'umm in W-bodies it was last used in 92. you have the 4t60-e T? if the vin's 10th digit is T it would be a 1996 model vehicle. probably the point of confusion. Quote

roomylumy Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 How do I use the serial number to determine which tranny is in my car. 1990 Chevy Lumina. 3.1L. And contrary to what someone suggested awhile ago, it is not printed on the pan. mine says "METRIC" and "AUTOMATIC" Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 If it says something along the lines of "Hydramatic, and Metric" than it's the 4T60. Or, maybe the 3 speed (dunno what they are called). I'm pretty sure ALL 4T60Es will have 4T60E on the pan... Quote
