f_399 Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 If I sell my car how much should I ask for it? 1997 155,000 miles fairly good condition, look at my cardomain. Quote
DiscoStudd Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 I'd say $2500 or best offer (that is, if you got those gaskets replaced already...) Quote
f_399 Posted January 13, 2006 Author Report Posted January 13, 2006 thats what kbb gave me, gaskets should be fixed by this weekend Quote
DiscoStudd Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 What did KBB say the trade-in value was? Quote
jeremy Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 $2500 obo sounds about right..... Quote
f_399 Posted January 13, 2006 Author Report Posted January 13, 2006 trade in 1500 i guess ill drive around with a for sale sign on would you sell to a neighbor? i will really decide after the gaskets are fixed this weekend, some guys tell me the engine should be good to run again for another couple thousand miles... the only thing i am worried about is another major thing breaking like the transmission Quote
patgizz Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 i wouldn't sell to anyone i know. and with 155k you're up into WWS (worthless w-body syndrome) Quote
DiscoStudd Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 and with 155k you're up into WWS (worthless w-body syndrome) Or more like WGMS . He's right, though. GM's aren't worth a hill of beans after you crack 100k (I think 115k is the "Mendoza Line" where the value drops precipitously thereafter.) Doesn't mean the car won't last you for a good long while, though. But it all depends on how well you (and the previous owners) maintained the car... Quote
