ToroToro Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 Okay, so I'm getting real close to finishing the intake gasket replacement nightmare, but I have just one more question. Am I supposed to use any sealer on the new upper intake gaskets? I wouldn't think so, but I just want to be sure. Thanks. Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 If you where to use anything, use the black RTV, its basically a sealer that can be used for that. Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 Nope. The overpriced GM ones I got were friggen PAPER too! Hell, if the old ones are stuck on there but not broken I'd think about re-using them, that's just IMO. They don't need to be torqued much I think 10ft/lb or something. Quote
ToroToro Posted January 13, 2006 Author Report Posted January 13, 2006 Yeah, these cheapo Fel Pro ones are paper as well. I figure since they came with the kit I may as well use them though. They dont really have to hold long anyway. Big changes come summer. So I guess I wont seal them then. I didn't think I had to anyway. Thanks. Quote
