loominaz34 Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 I'm pretty sure They're selling stock engine parts fropm the regular 3.1 or 3.4 as far as I can tell. the 3.1 and 3.4 are both the same block and bore. I'm not totally sure the 2.8 is also. but if i'm correrct you would be a lot better off going to the jy and picking up a good crank and rods. I don't konw what engine you're starting out with but if you're looking for more power, check the sticky post about performance in either the FAQ or here (can't remember) it's pretty complete. Quote
White93z34 Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 the 3.1 and 3.4 have quite different blocks. however the 3.1 is a stroked 2.8 from what i recall the block is the same between the 2.8 and the 3.1 its the crank thats different. wheras a 3.1 and 3.4 crank are the same. Quote
loominaz34 Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 OOOOOOOOOOoh ok I'm sorry. So a 2.8 to 3.4 kit might actually be a real aftermarket part. thatnks for the coorrection. Quote
