dohc v6 Posted January 10, 2006 Report Posted January 10, 2006 I have a 94z as you all must know now. for a couple weeks now my car is acting crazy. when i get on it like 2 grand or higher the car jumps and does not accelerate. if i get on it from a stop light it never really grabs and the rps jups and hesitates. now the tranny was just replace about 7,000 miles ago. i wonder if the engine could be doing something. i have been having a real bad blow by problem. like in my intake not the manifold i have oil coming out of the vacuum hoses. any clue Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 When was the last time just the basics were replaced, plugs, fuel filter, etc...? Quote
Canada Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Fuel pressure? Possible bad fuel pump.....tons of shit really. Quote
94CutlassXtreme Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 Pull your PCV valve and see if it's frozen. Just shake it and see if it rattles. If it stays open then it could be sucking oil at idle when it's normally supposed to be closed. This would shoot oil into the intake and eventually, it would oil foul your plugs. Try pulling a plug also. Quote
dohc v6 Posted January 11, 2006 Author Report Posted January 11, 2006 thanks so you dont think it is the tranny slipping. also replaced the pcv about a week ago. Quote
joey b Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 take the ICM out and take it to NAPA to get it tested. I wouldn't go anywhere else to get it tested cause the other places have a junk tester. Quote
