89Cutlass Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Ive always had this problem with my 89 cutlass it idles almost perfectly in neutral or park but when when i put it in drive it seems to have some shaking, its not as bad in reverse. What can i look for to fix this. Quote

JS91Z34 Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 My Z34 did that about a month ago. This is just a wild shot in the dark but check and see if you have a shorted injector. Number three Cyl injector was shorted, i replaced it and runs fine again. :? Quote
89Cutlass Posted March 21, 2003 Author Report Posted March 21, 2003 How much did it cost you to replace it ? Quote
JS91Z34 Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 about 90 bucks for the injector. I replaced it myself. It solely depends on where you go for the injector, wether you have a shop do it or not. Quote
chronic139 Posted March 22, 2003 Report Posted March 22, 2003 no it doesnt idle rough, i just notice theres a little more movement in neutral/park than in drive holding the brake. nothing unbearable. i think a mount 9dogbone bushing) might be bad because its only with no load on the engine. doesnt someone sell poly bushings for these? JS91Z34 Posted March 22, 2003 Report Posted March 22, 2003 I'd replace all mounts on it just a good measure. If your motor is moving around that much in park or neutral, Who knows what the condition the others are in. You know what I mean? Quote
