z284pwr Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 One of the fuel hoses on our TGP is slowly cracking and dripping fuel right between the turbo and the downpipe, so we decided we better fix it pretty fast. Where can I locate the 2 rubber fuel lines that go before the hard lines to the fuel rail? The local part stores didn't show anything, are they a universal thing, or are they a dealer only thing? Prospeeder Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 Rubber fuel lines, i dont belive iv ever seen those...pics? Quote
Bossman429 Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 THey are the fuel lines between the engine fuel rail, and the metal line coming from the tank. I'd guess dealer only item. They should be able to get them, there's no difference between TGP and regular W-body. Fuel leaks suck. Quote
Prospeeder Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 Yes, fuel leaks DO suck, one of my O rings for the Fuel filter lines was bad and leaked gas Quote

skalor Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 I know the Lumina I swapped the LG5 into(nick1234's now) had different lines and I switched them to the ones from the TGP. They go up over the front of the brake master cylinder resevior instead of under it. Now, they may just be Powermaster III specific ones though but the factory ones from the Lumina were just too close to the downpipe for me. At any rate I would go to the nearest dealer or GM parts warehouse and see if you can still get them. Quote

The lines in my '93 vs. my TGP appear to be a bit different. Quote
Guest TurboSedan Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 yeah i had the same problem. i simply bent the fuel lines by hand so they wouldn't be so close to the downpipe (worked great). Quote
Jcrow Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 A hydraulic supply store would have fittings and hose. Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 A hydraulic supply store would have fittings and hose. I have rubber hose on my fuel line going from the fuel filter to the engine, that damn bolt was simply wayyy to rusted to come off! Quote
z284pwr Posted January 3, 2006 Author Report Posted January 3, 2006 A hydraulic supply store would have fittings and hose. So a hydo store would have the fittings on the fuel lines? If so we were tossing around doing a custom thing, if so, that would be real nice Quote
mclaren18psi Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 look at the lines one is bigger, which one you do need i should have extras of both. there used but they were not leaking on my car. andy andy090482@yahoo.com Quote

5speedz34 Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 A dealer is going to be real expensive, and I don't know if GM even makes those lines anymore. Honestly, I would go there first. They're not just rubber there is plastic in those lines, so I would stick with OEM. Then think about making your own. Quote
