brian89gp
The turbo I got is a Toyota CT-26 and both the exaust in and out ports are 2.4". Would expanding the exaust pipe right after it leaves the turbo to 3" and run a full 3" exaust be benificial?
JS91Z34
It'll be noisy, but wont hurt anything. I have A turbo T-bird with three inch duals and that damn thing sounds like an eighteen wheeler when the turbo spools!
RedZMonte
Yes it will be benificial.. it will Decrease your spoolup time. I plan on running 2" or 2.25" collectors then a 2.5" downpipe to my borla catback (2" mandrel bent). if that doesn't spool fast then i am going to pull the borla catback off and do a 3" single after the downpipe. 3" single mandrel bent catback will be sweet. Anything you can do to reduce backpressure will help the turbo. The turbo will create enought backpressure for the car to run properly until your boosting. It won't be as loud as you think. the turbo will quiet the exhaust down allot. My roomates integra with an open downpipe from the turbo is quieter then allot of integra's with full exhaust.
