ExZion
In my 1994 Cutlass Supreme the check gauges light comes on alot. on the drive to my friend house 5 minutes away and it will kick on then after running for a while it'll go out. This happened to my dad 2 months after buying the car new and the dealer "fixed" it and didnt start again till now. All the gauges check out to be fine. The only thing i can think of is that its temp related because when the temp rises to about 200 it comes on. can this be :?:
19Cutlass94
Best thing would to be when it comes on, see what code its throwing and go from there.
Grand Moff Joseph
I'm no mechanic, but the check gauges light is most commonly triggered by temperature problems in these cars (or so I have observed). I'd check/replace the thermostat first, and see if that does the trick

jdcutty
Got to be gas, oil, or temp. related. It should only come on when the guages are actually in the red zone though.
Crazy K
Got to be gas, oil, or temp. related. It should only come on when the guages are actually in the red zone though. exactly... It comes on when less than 1/4 tank of gas, I think it also may come on if the voltage, oil, and temp get to red.... The oweners manual gives the info.
