M-I-A
Hey guys. I bought some GM TEC and I want to use it on my car. I know you cant pour it in our side ways TB. I have heard that you can use a VAC line to do it with. Ok heres my question, On my engine which and were is the VAC line I have to use? Thanks
GP1138
There should be a vacuum line on the brake booster you can pour it in. I like to stick a funnel into it and just pour it in. Pull it downwards and it'll just pop off.
M-I-A
Is it one of these? Thanks
GP1138
No, it's near the brake fluid reservoir.
ToroToro
The number "2" you circled in the first pic is the vaccum line that comes from the brake booster, and you can use it. It's a fuck of a lot easier to take the line off from the booster than it is to get it off the manifold though. Mine was really stuck. Mine was really stuck. x2 take it off from the vacuum booster side, pull it up (if you are careful you can turn the entire tube), so that it also has a bit of help from gravity. Then ram a funnel into it and pour.....
M-I-A
When the cars running and I disconnect that line the car shuts off. So I had to keep my thumb over half the line while pouring the TEC in there. Same for you guys? How much do you usually pour at a time also? Thanks for the help guys. Pull it off a little by little, then it'll only stumble.
GutlessSupreme
if you're using the brake booster line make sure you squeeze it partially shut anyway, otherwise it'll suck up the whole bottle in two seconds. you don't want that. if you suddenly grow a third arm, use it to keep the throttle butterfly open a bit. just keep reving it a little (not wide open). it'll keep running. if it doesn't just restart it.
